01 What you get, and the 30 days
Every plan starts with 30 days, no payment. Stripe securely saves your card at signup but does not charge it then. The 30 days start when your service goes live — not at signup. Unless you cancel before day 31, the matching monthly plan starts automatically:
| Plan | During the first 30 live days | From day 31, unless cancelled |
|---|---|---|
| Website + Chat | $0 | $149/mo — new website + Chat Agent + automation |
| Website + Chat + Phone | $0 | $199/mo — new website + Chat Agent + Phone Agent + automation |
| Website + Chat + Phone + Email | $0 | $249/mo — new website + Chat, Phone, and Email Agents + automation |
| Website + Sales Team | $0 | $349/mo — everything in the $249 plan + the First Signal Sales Team |
| Social Media Management | $0 | $299/mo — one brand, up to 8 platforms |
| Chat Agent (agent only) | $0 | $99/mo — Chat Agent |
| Phone Agent (agent only) | $0 | $99/mo — Phone Agent Essential |
| Phone + Chat (agent only) | $0 | $198/mo — Phone Essential + Chat |
Social Media Management is sold on its own or added to any plan. Added to a plan, it bills on the same subscription, with the same 30-day start and the same first-charge date, and the amount we disclose and charge is the combined monthly total.
Every website plan includes a new two-page Starter Website, built by Website Launcher into your own domain and your own free GitHub and Cloudflare accounts — First Signal does not host it — plus automation: every lead captured, logged as a CRM record, and routed to your team instantly through the Signal Room. Extra pages are $250 each, from the third page. Every agent, on a website plan or agent only, includes lead qualification, CRM connection, a Slack Signal Room, real-time lead alerts, a daily brief, and a trial scoreboard. Our promise on agent-only plans: we install your first AI lead-response agent in one business day, connect it to your CRM, and send every new opportunity into your Signal Room.
We never ask for passwords. You connect accounts through secure access, forwarding, admin invites, or approved integrations.
02 The agent is AI — and AI can make mistakes
Your agent is automated. It's fast and consistent, but like any AI it can occasionally misunderstand a caller, phrase something oddly, or make an error. Before launch, you review and approve the agent's configuration — the prices, services, service areas, hours, and claims it's allowed to repeat. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide to it; we're responsible for the agent faithfully using what you approved, and we fix configuration errors promptly when you flag them.
03 The agent never binds your business
The agent never forms quotes, contracts, or binding commitments on your behalf. It never gives final prices, promises availability, approves discounts, changes contracts, gives legal advice, or handles disputes — anything in that territory gets escalated to you as a Signal. Only you make commitments; the agent captures the opportunity and hands it over.
04 The agent always says it's an AI
Every conversation opens with the agent identifying itself as an AI assistant. This disclosure is mandatory and cannot be disabled — not by you, not by request, not for any account. It's a condition of service.
05 Recording is off by default
Call recording is OFF by default. If you ask us to enable it, every recorded call carries an audible on-call announcement and all-party consent, consistent with Massachusetts law (M.G.L. c. 272, § 99). There is no silent recording in any state, under any configuration, period.
06 Emergencies
The agent is not an emergency service. When a caller mentions danger keywords (gas, leak, fire, flood, smoke, CO, injury, 911, no heat in winter), the agent says "If this is an emergency, hang up and call 911," provides your designated emergency line, and fires a hot-signal alert to you immediately. You must provide an emergency contact number during onboarding — the agent can't go live without one.
07 No cold outbound — ever, on trials
Trial agents never make cold outbound calls or send cold texts. The only outbound message is missed-call recovery: exactly one transactional text-back per missed call, to the number that just called you. STOP requests are honored immediately and permanently.
08 Liability
Our total liability under this agreement is capped at the fees you actually paid us. Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential damages — lost profits, lost leads, lost business opportunities. You agree to indemnify First Signal against third-party claims arising from the content, prices, services, and claims you provided to the agent (see Section 02 — you own the source facts).
09 Your lead data is yours
You own all lead data the agent captures. At trial end you get a full CSV export — whether you convert or not. If you don't convert, your trial-CRM lead records are deleted 30 days after the trial ends. Your leads are never used for another client, and never used by us for prospecting. Firewall, not fine print.
10 Billing, refunds, and what happens on day 31
Nothing charged to start. Stripe saves your card for future off-session billing, but your first 30 live days are free.
What happens at the end. Unless you cancel before day 31, your card is charged automatically for your plan: $149/mo, $199/mo, $249/mo, or $349/mo for a website plan; $299/mo for Social Media Management; or, on an agent-only plan, $99/mo for one channel (phone or chat) or $198/mo for phone + chat. It then renews monthly on the same date until you cancel. A Social Media Management add-on is charged on the same subscription, on the same date.
We remind you before we charge. On go-live day we email the exact first-charge date and amount. Three days before the first charge, we send them again.
Cancellation is easy. Cancel through Stripe's customer portal, by replying to any email from us, or by telling any of our agents to cancel. Cancel before day 31 and you pay nothing. There is no minimum term; it is month to month.
Your website stays yours. On a website plan, your Starter Website is built into your own domain and free GitHub and Cloudflare accounts in your name — First Signal does not host it. You own the business content and original assets you submit, and the finished site itself; First Signal retains its platform, component library, themes, automation, and internal tooling. If you cancel, billing stops and so do your agents and automation, but the site stays yours, on your own accounts. Our GitHub app stays on that one repository so approved updates can reach the site; you can remove it in GitHub at any time, and once removed we cannot change or take down the site.
If your agent install runs late. This applies to the agent install only, not to your website. If your agent isn't live within 5 business days of our receiving your completed onboarding and access, you have not been charged and your 30 days have not started. Nothing is charged before your 30 days start, and you can cancel at any point before day 31 at no cost.
Monthly plans (no install fees — every plan starts with the same 30 days): Website + Chat $149/mo, Website + Chat + Phone $199/mo, Website + Chat + Phone + Email $249/mo, Website + Sales Team $349/mo, Social Media Management $299/mo (one brand, up to 8 platforms — on its own or added to any plan). For businesses keeping their existing website: Phone Agent Essential or Chat Agent $99/mo, Phone + Chat bundle $198/mo, Phone Agent Pro / Speed to Lead $249/mo.
11 Onboarding has a shelf life
Onboarding must be completed within 30 days of submission. We'll nudge you twice. After 30 days of inactivity, we archive the request without creating the subscription or starting service. You can submit again when you're ready.
12 Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Any dispute will be brought in the courts of Barnstable County, Massachusetts. If any part of this agreement is found unenforceable, the rest stands.
